Tendon and soft-tissue healing models
Rodent studies of BPC-157 across transected tendon, ligament and muscle-crush models reported accelerated functional recovery, improved histological organization and increased fibroblast outgrowth. Proposed mechanisms include modulation of the FAK-paxillin pathway and upregulation of growth-factor receptor expression in healing tissue.

Most of the excitement around BPC-157 comes from consistent animal soft-tissue results. Controlled human trial data remain essentially absent, which is why it stays a research compound.
