Peptide stability is mostly a solved problem — if you follow a handful of rules. This guide covers the storage conditions that preserve research material at every stage: in transit, on the shelf, and after reconstitution.

Freeze-dried peptides are remarkably stable. Sealed in their original vials and kept refrigerated at 2–8°C, most remain within specification for 24 months or longer. Three factors matter:

Reading the signs of degradation

A healthy reconstituted peptide is a clear, colorless solution. Discard a vial that shows cloudiness that doesn't clear, visible particulates or fibers, color change, or any microbial haze. Degradation isn't always visible, though — which is why validated storage windows, not appearance, should decide when a vial is retired.

Transit and receiving

On delivery, move peptides to refrigeration promptly, but don't panic over a warm package: sealed lyophilized vials tolerate transit heat well. Check that vial seals are intact and batch IDs match your paperwork — every vial we ship carries a batch ID traceable to its published certificates.
